This policy explains what What's It Worth? does — and mostly does not do — with information when you visit this site or buy the book. We keep it deliberately light on data.

The short version

What we collect on this site

We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand how the site is used — for example, how many people visit a page and roughly where in the world they are (country or city level), counted in aggregate. This is done without storing your IP address, without placing tracking cookies on your device, and without following you across other websites. Our web host may also keep standard, short-lived server logs for security and reliability.

When you buy the book

Purchases are handled entirely by Gumroad, our payment processor and merchant of record. You enter your payment details on Gumroad, not here — we never see or store your card information. To deliver your download and answer support requests, Gumroad shares basic order information with us, such as your email address and country. Your checkout is governed by Gumroad’s Privacy Policy.

How we use information

• To deliver the product you bought and provide support.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful.
• To keep the site secure and working.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. We rely on a small number of service providers to run things — Gumroad (payments and delivery) and our web host (serving these pages). They only handle what they need to perform their service.

Your choices

Because we do not build advertising profiles, there is little to opt out of. Your browser’s privacy settings and ad-blockers are respected. If you have bought from us and want to know what order information we hold, or want it removed, use the “Contact” option on our Gumroad product page.
